The Mysterious Benedict Society Spotlight

Greetings!
Have you watched the new Disney + show, The Mysterious Benedict Society?
Either way, I think there are only two ways you could have watched it:
- The path I have chosen – As a fan of the source material for years, I’ve been struggling to enjoy this series as its own art form and its own story. Instead, I’m taking mental note of all the inaccuracies and deviations from the lines in the books.
- Ignorance is bliss – You’ve never read the series, so you can enjoy it for what it is! And maybe it’s even sparked an interest in the book series (which is infinitely better, I assure you)!
This book series was such a big part of my childhood, and, while some expectations weren’t met, I really enjoyed seeing it brought to life!
Am I sad that Sticky isn’t bald, Mr. Benedict isn’t older, and some characters don’t look like I imagined? Sure, but I can’t wait to see where the series goes next, so I’m cautiously optimistic.
If you haven’t watched the series yet, I reviewed the original three, and I’ll link them below! I’ve read the fourth book but never got a chance to review it, so I’m using that as an excuse to reread it.
Here are my reviews of the first three books:
The Mysterious Benedict Society
The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey
The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner’s Dilemma
That’s all for now! As the series continues, I can’t wait to pop on here to discuss themes and my favorite scenes in the books and show.
