Miscellaneous Musings Vol.1

Greetings fellow bookworms!
I’m coming to you today with a very informal/rambling post.
This is the last post until after Christmas (possibly New Year’s)!
May your Christmas be filled with family, friends, and a little down time to rewatch Lord of the Rings or read a good book with a steaming mug of tea/coffee/cider!
After Christmas, I’m planning on post some Marvel/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. thoughts as I’m rewatching the series before the arrival of season 7 *excited screams*. I’m also hoping to post reviews more consistently and do some fun get-to-know-me/favorite books posts.
One more thing before I go! Today is the first day of winter! But it is also Short Girl Appreciation Day! December 21 is the shortest day of the year, so it’s only fitting that Short Girl Appreciation Day is also today!
I’m 5’0″ (Well, I say that I am. I’m a wee bit shy of it, but I feel no qualms rounding up!), so I can partake in the merrymaking! To all the girls who can’t reach the top shelf (or even just the third one), who still get kid’s menus at restaurants, and can still buy clothes from the kid’s section at Target, embrace your height!!! You can make your tall friends do the dishes, kid’s meals are cheaper, odds are you’ll always find your size in the clearance section, and when your friends are old and wrinkly, you will look young and vibrant!
*Beware! Mini lecture ahead!*
A dear friend once reminded me that if God has a plan for you, and His timing is perfect, then your body is exactly where it’s supposed to be for this moment of your life. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t exercise or strive to be healthy! But it does mean that if you feel self-conscious about your height, you can be confident in the knowledge that you are exactly the size God wants you to be at this stage of your life. And hey, God only lets things grow ’til they’re perfect…so there’s that! 😉
Well, know that the cliche mini lecture is over with, I can conclude this post by wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (although I’ll probably be back with a sappy end-of-the-decade/end-of-2019/end-of-an-era post)!
Until next time, farewell!
